A Ben Wheeler man has pleaded guilty to Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity in Smith County and been sentenced to two years in state jail. 39-year-old John Christopher Borgstedt and another man were accused of operating an illegal gambling establishment. The other defendant, 46-year-old Jason Henry Rankin previously pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor gambling charge.
