Red River County Genealogical Society

Here is the notice about the Red River County Genealogical Society’s meeting:

Everyone is invited to attend the monthly meeting of the Red River County Genealogical Society on Monday (Aug 13) at 7:00 pm at the Red River County Chamber of Commerce Meeting Room. Jack Herrington, of Clarksville, is presenting this month’s program. He will give his recollections on the filming of the 1960 movie “Home From the Hill.” Much of the movie was filmed in Red River County. He will bring some photographs and other memorabilia that is associated with the film. This program has been in the planning stages for some time and many area residents plan to attend. All interested are invited to hear the details on the making of this memorable movie.
