Master Gardeners Annual Plant Sale and Garden Show

The Cypress Basin Master Gardeners will hold their Tenth Annual Plant Sale and Garden Show at the Mount Pleasant Civic Center on Saturday (Mar 23). This event will open at 8:30 am and close at 4:00 pm.

With the Garden Show, we seek to build partnerships with the community to expand horticultural and educational opportunities. Proceeds are used to support our mission of education and information to the community.

The 2019 Garden Show will feature over 5000 plants for sale, most prorogated and grown by Master Gardeners, including a large selection of blooming hanging baskets. An expanded plant sale area will allow for easier shopping and selecting. As usual, Master Gardeners will be available to assist with your selections.

We are pleased to announce Howard Garrett “The Dirt Doctor” will once again be the keynote speaker at the event. His presentation, fabulous Trees, How to Plant and Manage the Natural Way, is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (Mar 23), at the Mt Pleasant Civic Center. Also, Native Plants in the Landscape will be presented at 10:00 a.m. by Roberta Jean Smith. Roger Farr will present The Bees and The Plants at 11:30. Display booths featuring lawn and garden products will be offered by area merchants.

Pre-sale tickets will be available for purchase Monday through Wednesday (Mar 18-19), from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the AgriLife Extension office, 1708 Industrial Rd, in Mt. Pleasant.
