Former Payne Springs Police Chief Surrenders Law Enforcement License

Former Payne Springs Police Chief April Meadows has agreed to an open plea deal before Judge R. Scott McKee in Henderson County District Court. The court accused Meadows and Reserve Officer Jonathan Paul Hutchison of trafficking drugs that had been seized by the Payne Springs Police Department as well as money laundering. Meadows agreed to surrender her peace officer’s license as part of the plea bargain. Her sentencing is in August.
