Former Payne Springs Police Officer Guilty Of Selling Drugs

n Henderson County, 41-year-old former Payne Springs Police Officer Jonathan Hutchison of Mabank has pleaded guilty to selling drugs previously seized by the department. Hutchison and former Payne Springs Police Chief April Meadows were arrested in March of 2023 and initially charged with the manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance. They have not sentenced Hutchinson, and his attorney has recommended probation. They have scheduled Meadows to go on trial in June.
