Former State Prison Supervisor Sentenced

A former East Texas Prison Captain has pleaded guilty in Smith County District Court to three counts of sexual assault of a child. Larry Mathews was sentenced to 20 years in prison on each count and the sentences will be served consecutively. Matthews worked at the Coffield Prison Unit in Anderson County.
