Strong winds and hail the size of golf balls tracked from Denton County into Collin County at about 3:30 Tuesday morning. The storm continued eastward before weakening over Hunt and Fannin counties. It was a busy night of storms across North Texas, with storm warnings and watches issued from the early evening hours Monday into the night. By Tuesday afternoon, a strong cold front will move across North Texas. The most likely timing for the cold front arriving in DFW is around noon. There will be a brief warm-up to the lower 70s before the cold front comes. By Tuesday evening, temperatures will be back down in the 40s and 50s.
