Hugo Man Sentenced For Murdering Wife

The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced Tuesday that Jeffery Pierce, 74, of Hugo, was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for murdering his wife in 2020. Pierce claimed that his wife, Ronnie, pulled a gun on him during a fight, and investigators said Pierce stabbed her over sixty times. They tried the case in federal court because the victim was a tribal member.
