J-C Penney will permanently close seven stores in Texas as part of its bankruptcy plan. The Texas stores are in Paris, Greenville, Dallas, Lewisville, Lufkin, Palestine, and Huntsville. The bankruptcy court judge overseeing the company’s operations expects to hold a hearing next week to approve the plan, and the stores could carry going-out-of-business sales for the next two to four months.
