You can add Kaufman County to the list of places where they issued a Disaster Declaration ahead of the total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8. The declaration will be effective from Friday through Tuesday, April 5–9. The county is expecting around 200,000 visitors during that time, about twice the county’s population of 100,000. Other Texas counties that have declared emergencies before the eclipse include Bell, Kerr, Travis, and Kendall counties.
