Lamar County S.O Press Release
On March 01, 2023, sometime around 4:00 pm, the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a deceased person found in a vehicle parked in a gated area in the 4400 block of State Highway 24. When Sheriff Deputies arrived, they found a 58-year-old male victim with gunshot wounds deceased in his vehicle. They sent the body for autopsy and withheld the victim’s name for now. The victim is not a resident of Lamar County. Witnesses observed a dark-colored Dodge pickup leaving the scene.
