Lamar County Election Briefs

Paris City Council –  The District 6  winner is Cleonne Drake

Voters denied a North Lamar ISD  $56 million bond issue by a large margin during Saturday’s election.  The vote was 705 in favor and 948 against.  For the trustee election – results were Paul Drake, 876 votes; Kyle Coston, 819 votes; Tim Stone, 787 votes; Rickey Richardson, 706 votes; Bo Exum, 603; Michael Pfiester, 326 votes.

Voters in  the Chisum ISD passed all three propositions related to its $26.9 million bond issue.

For the PJC Board of Regents, Place 2 winner is Carolyn Lockett, Place 8 the winner is Louise Addison Taylor.

Unofficial results of the Reno City Council election were Joey McCarthy 108, Rick Jordan 107, Brandon Thomas 99, William “Buddy” Heuberger 73,  and Walter Cooper 60

For the city of Blossum, Charlotte Burge received  43 votes and Mayor Roger Johnson got 30 votes. City Council races were uncontested.
