Lamar County Sheriff’s Office Warns of E-Mail Scam

The Lamar County Sheriff’s office is reporting that they received a call from a local resident that he had received an email from Chase Bank confirming a large payment to Lamar County Sheriff’s Office Communications. Sheriff’s authorities say they have not received large payments from anyone. They urge any receiving a similar email not to click on the attachment and delete the email.
