Man Arrested After Two-County Police Chase

Officials arrested 35-year-old Jan Michael Aaron Olmstead, hometown unknown, early Thursday morning after leading law enforcement on a chase that began in Hunt County and ended in Wood County. Olmstead was taken into custody when State Troopers spiked his vehicle. He’s charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a public servant, evading arrest/detention with a car, and a Michigan warrant for failure to identify as a fugitive from justice. He remains in the Hunt County Detention Center
