A trial is underway in New Boston for a Northeast Texas man charged with sexual abuse of a child. The child is now 12. Reportedly, 34-year-old David Anthony Turney, of Hooks, was related to the victim and the alleged abuse was reported to the Hooks Police Department in May of 2017. Turney is also accused of abusing another girl but is not being tried on that case at this time.
