That winter storm that hit Texas this year caused a lot of damage, but help may be on the way. There’s a renewed push to give ratepayers a $350 stimulus check to help. State Senator Roland Gutierrez says Texans have yet to see any assistance for broken pipes, spoiled food, lost wages, or damages to their homes. A bill that would have directed the checks died in the final hours of the state legislature, so Gutierrez wants this added to a special session. The Governor gets to decide when that will happen and what will be involved.
