New details have been released by Paris Police Lieutenant John Berry about the robbery allegedly committed by a 15 year old boy. Dispatch received a call from a medical alarm company indicating that a client had reported a man pulling a gun on her in the 3200 block of E. Houston. Officers arrived on scene to find the victim ok and unharmed. The victim had reportedly allowed a young man to enter her home earlier that morning, and gave him food and water. The suspect then produced a pistol, threatened her and asked for money. The 15 year old suspect was found in close proximity to the robbery location and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Greenville Juvenile Detention Facility. That facility requested that the boy be medically cleared before detention after an interview indicated he had ingested medications. A Greenville hospital determined the boy was having medical issues and the family was notified that the boy was being transported to a Dallas hospital for treatment. Investigation of the robbery will continue.
