New Paris Council Members Sworn In Tonight

The Paris City Council will meet this evening and the oath of office will be given to Clayton Pilgrim, Billy Trenado, Shandra “Renae” Stone, and Derrick Hughes. Following that, a new mayor and mayor-pro-tem will be selected by the council. The new council will be asked to allocate $10,000 towards the $90,000 contract for the Tool Company to develop plans for the Paris downtown area. The remaining money of the contract will be funded through private donations.
