Paris City Council OK’s $510k For COVID Testing

The Paris City Council held an emergency meeting Thursday morning to amend the budget by transferring $510,000 from the general fund reserves to the general expenses budget. The money will purchase testing kits for Coronavirus for residents of Paris and Lamar County. Hopefully, mass testing will take place in the parking lot of Paris High School.

Paris Mayor Steve Clifford issued a supplemental public health emergency order regarding the coronavirus pandemic concerning nursing homes.
