Paris City Manager Names Finalists For Police Chief Position

Paris City Manager Grayson Path

As was announced last, City Manager Grayson Path has narrowed the list of candidates for the City of Paris Chief of Police position to a finalist group. On Thursday, January 21 at 5:30 pm, the City will conduct a virtual interview for the community to observe.

Manager Path would like input from the community to assist him in making his decision. Those wishing to watch the interview can do so by visiting the City of Paris’ website, www.paristexas.gov, where a live stream video will be available on the homepage along with links for other streaming services. The video will remain on the homepage so that viewers can replay it at a later time.

Also, there will be a link on the homepage for those wishing to provide input to the City Manager. That link will become active after the interviews are complete. Those wishing to submit their information should do so no later than 11:59:59 pm, Sunday, January 24. Manager Path will review all community input in combination with all other relevant factors and decide on a candidate to present to the City Council at a future council meeting.

Path has identified the following three candidate finalists to take part in this interview: Brian Griffeth, City Marshall for the City of Rowlett, Texas; Tony Griggs, Chief of Police for the City of Celina, Texas – Retired; and Richard Salter, Special Agent in Charge for the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Omaha Division.
