Paris Police Issue Scam Alert

Paris Police has received information regarding what appears to be another attempted scam. A person reported receiving a telephone call which the caller ID showed to be from “Evergreen Cemetery” with the last four digits of the number being “6750.” Officers were told that the caller requested credit card information. Verification has since been made with representatives from Evergreen that they have not made any such calls nor do they request credit/debit card information. Anyone receiving this type of call should hang up the phone and notify the police department.
