Paris Police Report for Tuesday Feb. 21st

 

Battle

Paris police conducted a traffic stop on 28 year old Davarious Battle in the 1200 block of Clarksville Street. A handgun was found in the vehicle and since Battle had previous felony convictions, he was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Sulsar

Paris police served a warrant on  45 year old Karen Sulsar  in the 3000 block of Clarksville. She was wanted for theft of property valued at more than $20,000 but less than $100,000.

Presley

Paris Police responded to a disturbance in the 2100 block of E Cherry and made contact with 50 year old  Kayanna Presley, who tried to flee in a vehicle. She later stopped and arrested on a parole violation warrant. She was also charged with evading arrest of detention with a vehicle and several misdemeanors.

Paris Police responded  to a report that a 2014 Ford Fusion had been stolen from the 3000 block of Clarksville. The vehicle was later recovered in Fannin County and the  investigation is ongoing.

Paris Police were called to a robbery in the 1200 block of S Main and were told by a woman that a person known to her had assaulted her, stolen her purse and fled on foot. The suspect remains at large.

Paris police are investigating an assault in the 700 block of East Washington. The alleged victim said the suspect accused him of theft and then threatened him with a knife. The victim suffered minor injuries from the assault. The investigation is ongoing.
