Tuesday evening, Paris Police arrested Kevin Anderson, 50, after a traffic stop in the 1200-block of NE Loop 286. They found Anderson in possession of an approximately ½-gram of methamphetamine.

Officers arrested Rowdy Wooten, 22, and Chelsey Spears, 24, after a traffic stop. They found both had outstanding misdemeanor warrants and they were in possession of small amounts of synthetic marijuana.
A third traffic stop ended with the arrest of Stacy Winton, 44, when officers found a small amount of marijuana. They also observed Winton throw something, that reportedly was a prescription pill.
Officers were inside the Municipal Jail when Stephen Harrison, 23, began throwing his shoes. When officers took his shoes, Harrison lunged at an officer and they took him down. He continued to fight and he bit an officer on the head. They charged Harrison with aggravated assault against a public servant.
Officers arrested Kyler Sisson, 25, who they found in possession of more than four grams of methamphetamine. They were executing a search warrant at the time in the 500-block of Deshong.
A person reported to the department that an unknown suspect had used their credit card information to conduct a transaction in Tennessee that was not authorized.
Allegedly a theft occurred in the 500-block of Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd. Reported the victim stopped in that location and an unknown suspect opened the victim’s car door and took her purse and fled.
Paris Police responded to 84 calls for service and arrested eight people over the past 24 hours ending at 6:00 am Wednesday (Jul 11).
