The Children’s Library program, “Creative Signs,” American Sign Language, will be holding an end of session finale at the Farmer’s & Artisan’s Market tomorrow night at 6:30 pm. The ASL students will be performing songs, poems, etc. in American Sign Language. The event is free and open for everyone to attend.
Dylan’s Drivers will host a benefit “Down and Dirty” mud volleyball tournament on Saturday at the Red River Valley Rodeo arena. The cost for the tournament is $175 per team, and all proceeds will go to Dylan’s Drivers, who provide free, non-judgemental, confidential rides to individuals who are rendered incapable of or lack access to safe transportation. The Paris Optimist Club will hold registration for Fall Baseball this Saturday and Saturday, August 4, at the Woodall Meeting room from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. Leagues are available for players ages 5-14. Players are assigned to leagues based on what their age will be on April 30, 2019. Games will be played on Saturday afternoons beginning September 8, and run through mid-October. Boys and girls from surrounding communities are invited.
