Pittsburg-Camp Chamber News

Greetings! The Pittsburg-Camp County Chamber of Commerce –

The Chamber needs for Pittsburg’s Independence Day Blast Celebration on Fourth of July

As you’ve heard, the night sky will fill with fireworks at Broach Park on Wednesday (Jul 4). To make the event a huge success, we are still looking for churches, school groups, community groups, etc. who would like to offer activities for the children. We encourage your group to set up a tent and provide free face painting, games, craft activities, etc. The tents need to be set up by 6:00 p.m. because the events begin at 6:30. If your group would be interested in setting up a tent, please call the Chamber at 903-856-3442.

We are also in need of golf carts and utility vehicles that evening. Volunteers will be driving through the crowds selling parachute bingo tickets, water, and glow sticks. If you have a cart you would be willing to loan us; please contact the Chamber.

Mayor Shawn Kennington (far left) and Pittsburg-Camp County Chamber of Commerce Board President, James Wallace (far right), were among the many who attended the Grand Opening of Pittsburg’s newest business, Domino’s Pizza. Mack McKonnen, Domino’s Franchisee (center), Joe Gorman, VP of Operations for Domino’s (holding plaque), and Andy Keener, Domino’s District Manager, have been very pleased with the overwhelmingly positive response they’ve experienced from Pittsburg in the past few weeks.

Do you sing, Dance, or Play a Musical Instrument? Pioneer Days are just around the corner (September 15), and the Chamber is currently scheduling entertainment for our two stages in downtown Pittsburg. We are looking for individuals and groups who would like to entertain the audience. Do you sing, dance, tell jokes, or play a musical instrument? We’d love to hear from you. For more information, contact Chamber Board Member Kristin Aldridge at 903-926-7741 no later than Friday, June 22. (Please note that at this time we are looking for entertainers who are willing to perform at no cost. We have already secured our professional performers.)

Below is a form for advertising in this year’s Pioneer Days Festival Guide. We are distributing the festival guide to over 2,000 people, so it is exposure for your company. Advertising prices are quite reasonable. If you would like to advertise in the Festival Guide, please complete the form below and return it to the Chamber office no later than Friday, June 29.
