Powderly Man Convicted Of Sex Crimes

A Lamar County jury has convicted 54-year-old Douglas Gene McCloure of Powderly of first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14 and a second-degree charge of child sexual contact. During the trial, they stated that the assault happened in 2013, and the victim was a young boy. The case now moves to the punishment phase with sentencing.
