Report: Commerce Woman Also Faced Racial Slurs

The Commerce Journal is reporting that the attorney for a woman he claims was wrongly arrested by Commerce police says the person who confronted and yelled racial slurs at her was a member of the Commerce ISD board, and not Police Chief Kerry Crews. The city has not confirmed the identity of the board member. Crews, was placed on administrative leave last week pending the results of an independent investigation.
