Students Advance To National Competition

 

A&M-Texarkana Business Students Advance to National Competition

TEXARKANA, Texas – Several A&M-Texarkana Business students competed in some categories at the recent Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference at San Jacinto College South in Houston. The statewide competition was open to any college or university in Texas, and several TAMUT students either won or placed in their respective categories, outperforming over 100 other competitors from several institutions.

Students who won or were recognized are as follows:
Accounting for Professionals Certificate of Participation – Erin Dye
Accounting Principles 1st place – Troy Squires
Cyber Security 3rd place – Jacob Watson
Entrepreneurship Concepts 2nd place – Jonathan Nonmacher
Information Management 1st place – Jacob Watson
Organizational Behavior 2nd place – Jonathan Nonmacher
Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) is the most significant student business organization in the world. PBL has more than 10,000 members at its more than 500 colleges and university-based chapters. The A&M-Texarkana students who won their categories now have the opportunity to participate in the PBL national competition held in Baltimore this June.
