The Paris City Council will meet in regular session Monday night and hold a public hearing on the City’s proposal to increase tax revenues from the preceding tax year and to set the tax rate for 2017. The council will also consider reducing the number of officers employed by the Paris Police Department by three, by reducing the number of Lieutenant positions from eight to seven and increasing the number of Sergeants from four to five.
