Texas Bill Proposes Minimum Wage Hike

A North Texas state representative has proposed a bill in the legislature that would raise the minimum wage in Texas from $7.25 to $10.10 an hour. Democrat Chris Turner of Grand Prairie’s bill calls for the decision on raising the Texas minimum wage to be decided by a vote of the people. Oklahoma lawmakers will consider a bill by Senator George Young that would raise the minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.50.
