Texas surpassed 10,000 confirmed Coronavirus deaths Monday as the summer outbreak continues. Health experts expressed concerns as schools begin reopening for five million students across the state. About four in every five of those deaths came after June 1. Texas health officials are now concerned that not enough people are seeking tests. Texas joins New York, New Jersey, and California as the other states to surpass 10,000 coronavirus deaths. Florida is also approaching the milestone. Texas had 6,446 new cases on Monday and reported 117 new deaths.
