Monday, Texas starts deploying about 250 National Guard troops to the border with Mexico at the request of the President. Notifications for soldiers went in the mail Saturday informing them to report. They will call up more after mission requirements and locations are determined. The Texas-Mexico border covers 1,254 miles. They are calling up enough troops to have one man every mile for a double shift.
