Texas Seeks To Allow People To Open Carry Guns For Seven Days After Natural Disasters

One of the last bills passed by the Texas legislature allows Texans to carry their handguns for a full week following the declaration of a natural disaster. The law is intended to discourage looting in affected areas. The bill will now go to the governor’s desk.
