It has become a struggle to get in NBA games because of COVID-19. They postponed three other games Wednesday with Atlanta and Phoenix scratched. Friday’s matchups between Washington and Detroit and Golden State and the Suns got postponed later.

According to multiple reports, the Brooklyn Nets are getting James Harden as part of a trade involving the Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Indiana Pacers. NBA.com reports Houston will get Dante Exum, Rodions Kurucs, and four first-round picks, including Cleveland’s 2022 first-round pick from Milwaukee’s Bucks.

A&M-Commerce Lions women will play home-and-home with Cameron Thursday and Saturday. The men play home-and-home with University Arkansas-Fort Smith (UAFS) Friday and Sunday. COVID-19 has caused the changes.

The No. 17 Lion women’s basketball team prepares for the first divisional opponent of the year. They will travel to Lawton, OK, Thursday evening and face the Cameron Aggies.

AT&T Stadium is the venue for UIL’s football state championships with 5A Division II and Division I Friday and Saturday. It starts with Aledo taking on Crosby at 1:00 pm followed at 7:00 pm with Denton Ryan and Cedar Park Friday. Saturday has 6A Division II Cedar Hill and Katy at 1:00 pm and 6A Division I Southlake Carroll facing Austin Westlake at 7:00 pm. Visit the UIL website for ticket information.

Paris junior high Wildcats host Pittsburg Thursday at 4:30, and the Lady Cats are at Pittsburg Friday at 4:30 pm and 6:00.

Mt Pleasant’s junior high basketball team hosts at the junior high gym the Sulphur Springs Wildcats starting at 4:30 and 5:30 Thursday. There not be a junior high game at the high school gym. They canceled the Saturday game for Mt Pleasant’s junior high. Hallsville’s district game canceled a few weeks ago will be at Mt Pleasant Saturday at 6:30 pm, and it is varsity only.
