Title 42 allowed the U.S. to expel asylum seekers immediately. Border Patrol agents and state troopers are trying to maintain order at the southern ports of entry as the significant policy change for asylum seekers took effect at midnight. The regional director of Texas DPS said they are preparing troopers along the border for possible civil unrest.
