Sulphur Springs ISD named Brandon Faircloth the lone finalist for Athletic Director and Head football coach. Coach Faircloth comes to the Wildcats from Port Neches-Groves, the winningest coach in school history. In his 13 years at PN-G, he compiled a 102-51 overall record and made the playoffs in 12 of his 13 seasons. Before serving as head coach of Port Neches-Groves, he was the offensive coordinator at Odessa-Permian.
Marshall ISD’s head football coach and athletic director, Jake Griedl (GREE-dul), landed a job as a Bastrop Bear. He was 20-13 while at Marshall. The district is now looking for a new coach for the Mavericks.
The Harmony Eagles have hired a new athletic director and head football coach. It is Jeremy Jenkins, moving from Tenaha over to Harmony. Before Tenaha, he was Mt Enterprise’s coach. Harmony’s previous coach was Tim Russell, who retired and then landed a job at Grace Community.
