Join the fun in Historic Downtown Paris for the 20th Annual Festival of Pumpkins. This one-day event will be on October 24 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Experience unique vendors with handmade wares, boutique clothing, festival foods, and more. Take pictures by the fall displays around the fountain, and shop for festival savings offered by the downtown stores.
Returning to the downtown plaza for 2020, Pumpkins’s Festival is a place where one can enjoy the family-friendly atmosphere. Bring a decorated pumpkin to the annual pumpkin decorating contest or dress up the kiddos for the costume contests. All contest winners receive cash prizes. The Lamar County Humane Association will also host the pet pageants and owner lookalike contest.
Pick out a pumpkin at the downtown pumpkin patch or let the kids participate in the festival favorite “Fishing in the Fountain” in the historic JJ Culbertson fountain in the plaza center. Color on the community art project. Kid’s games are free, and we award prizes while supplies last. Musical entertainment on the east side of the plaza by the new brick downtown patio includes music by E-Flat Porch Band from McKinney, and Alyson Sichenzia and friends. Demonstrations by local dance and martial arts organizations will also take place throughout the day.
Planned are special accommodations for social distancing, and extra hand sanitizing stations will be placed in locations around the festival grounds. You will not want to miss this event where the community comes together.
Made possible by these great sponsors: City of Paris, Harrison Walker Harper, Paris Cardiology Center, Tijerina Urology Clinic, Liberty National Bank, First Federal Bank, Hayter Engineering, and the Paris Visitors and Convention Council.
