TxDOT Announces Plans To Upgrade US 271 In Lamar And Red River Counties

TxDOT has announced plans to repair and upgrade US 271 in Lamar and Red River Counties. The contractor, RK Hall Paris was given 96 working days to complete the $6.4 million project that will extend along US 271 from Loop 286 in Paris southeastward to Hwy 37 in Red River County. Crews will perform full-depth asphalt repairs, improve guardrails, overlay the entire width of the roadway, and place new pavement markings.
