Hopkins County Deputies and state troopers were involved in a chase after going to a residence on CR-2403 to question a suspect about an assault in Titus County. The suspect, 37-year-old Jesse Lynn Wellborn, of Winnsboro, ran from the officers, and the search ensued. They eventually located Wellborn and took him into custody. He was also wanted for violation of his parole, and he is in jail without bond.
