Smoke Sends Workers Running

Heavy smoke broke out in a Shreveport high rise that was under renovation. Eight construction workers managed to escape Tuesday night. Thirty-six units of firefighters worked the 7:00 pm call in the 500 block of Market Street at the United Mercantile Bank building. A cutting torch started the wood to smoke by workers.
