Texas Leads Nation In Banned Books

When it comes to banning books, Texas is leading the nation. According to a new report, a coordinated effort over social media fuels the movement. Jonathan Friedman with Pen America says that school administrators in Texas have banned 801 books. The most often targeted titles focus on race and sexuality. Much of this, he says, is about politics. But he says the more significant debates over Critical Race Theory will extend well beyond the November election.
