Hunt County Deputies Assaulted – Suspect Shot Near Celeste

Two Hunt County deputies were assaulted and  suffered minor injuries when they responded to the Celeste area where a suspect had allegedly been making abusive 9-11 calls.  When the deputies got to the man’s home, he became “extremely argumentative and combative and had to be tased twice. He was then shot by an officer. He was flown to a Dallas hospital. Texas Rangers will assist Hunt County internal affairs officers in the investigation into the incident.
