Gilmer Yamboree Cancels Fireworks

Saturday, East Texas Yamboree’s Facebook page posted that they canceled this year’s fireworks show. The decision came after much deliberation from The City of Gilmer and Upshur County COVID-19 Committee. They decided that the public’s safety is more important. The statement added that they wished each a safe and healthy Fourth of July celebration and look forward to planning the 84th East Texas Yamboree next year.
