Atlanta, TX, Mayor Travis Ransom, who also serves in the Army Reserve, is active. They assigned him to Afghanistan, where he will be the Battalion Command Sergeant Major of an Intelligence Unit. It is not his first overseas deployment. Most notable of his former assignments was as a counterintelligence agent in the conflicts following Yugoslavia’s collapse. Ransom was a candidate for the Republican nomination for the Congressional seat left vacant when John Ratcliff was named the Director of National Intelligence.
