After deliberating for about an hour, a Hunt County jury delivered its verdict on a Greenville attorney charged with murder. Royal Mullins was found guilty of fatally shooting Curtis “Topper” Gray in July of 2014. Mullins was sentenced to 60 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. He was represented by Sulphur Springs attorney Frank Long, who argued that the shooting was justified, and lives may have been saved by Mullins’ actions.
