Winnsboro ISD’s Meat Lab

Winnsboro ISD School Board approved the construction of the WISD meat lab in their November meeting. They projected the new facility to cost over $3.4 million, which C.R. Crawford Construction quoted. Once construction is complete, WISD will start offering meat processing classes in the state-of-the-art facility. WISD said the facility would allow students to learn aspects of agriculture and skills they can utilize after graduating high school. They expect construction to begin before the first of the year, with completion in the fall of the 2023 semester.
