Missing Boater Found Dead

Game wardens from Wood, Upshur, and Smith counties found the body of a boater missing since Monday in the Sabine River on Wednesday. The boater had reportedly been heading to Upshur County from Wood County but did not arrive. They found the man’s boat, but he remained missing until Wednesday morning when they discovered his body at the Wood-Smith County line near the boat. They think the cause of death was drowning.
