Anvil Brewing will have Mikey Miller playing acoustic guitar from 7:00 until 10:00 Friday night, as well as $3 margaritas from 4:00 until 6:00 Saturday and 3:00 until 6:00 pm $3 margarita madness! Danny Cargo and Tom Leonard from 7:00 until 10:00 guitar blues.

Come out and join the City of Pittsburg as we United in Christ. There will be fun and entertainment for the kids. Calling on all local churches to bring your youth out and enjoy the day. There will be local vendors from our area and local businesses as well. Fair Pair is Sunday (Aug 6) starting at 1:30 and ending at 5:30. There will also be guest speakers from our area.

The streets of Historic Downtown Pittsburg will transform into an open-air marketplace on Saturday (Sep 16) as vendors from all over East Texas converge on the city for Pioneer Days. Estimated attendance at the annual festival, which is Pittsburg’s biggest, is 10,000.

Pioneer Days officially kick off Wednesday (Sep 13) with the Peach Queen Coronation at the High School Auditorium. Community Leader Luncheon. Thursday (Sep 14) with live music at Jerry’s Bar & Grill “The Patron’s.”

On Friday (Sep 15) it is the Health Fair, Co-Sponsored by ETMC Pittsburg. Sidewalk Sales by downtown merchants. A wine tasting at Our Place starts at 4:00 until 10:00 pm. The Pioneer Days Carnival is 6:00 pm Friday (Sep 15), lighting up the night with exhilarating rides and games until 10:00 pm.

Saturday’s festivities begin at 8:00 am with more than 125 Main Street vendor booths, including a food and beverage court. Pendergrass Park and the Gazebo will be busy this year with Entertainment, Sponsored by Cypress Bank. Guaranty Bank and Trust sponsors the Bar-B-Q Cook-off. Chicken Scratch Bingo is at noon under the light at Mount Pleasant and Jefferson Streets. The Parade begins at 10:00 am.

The 13th annual Tommy Lee Memorial Biker Run will lead off the Parade and then head out on the highway. At 6:00 pm it is Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc, and Bareback. For more information, contact Allen Weatherford at the Camp County Chamber of Commerce at 903-856-3442

Nora’s Salon, 236 Rusk Street has new hours. They are Wednesday from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm, Thursday is 9:00 am until 1:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am until 2:30 pm and Saturday is 9:00 am until 6:00 pm. You can call for more info at 903-946-2035.
