Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed lawsuits against three Texas businesses for unlawful price gouging in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Among the businesses charged so far are the Best Western Robstown and the owners of gas stations in Dallas and Laredo. Gouging carries civil penalties up to $20,000 for each violation and an additional amount of up to $250,000 for incidents involving the elderly or disabled.
