Sixth Court Of Appeals Upholds Former Guardsman’s Sentence

The Sixth Court of Appeals in Texarkana has upheld the 35-year prison sentence handed down by a Bowie County jury to a former National Guardsman convicted of Burglary of a Habitation with the intent to Commit Sexual Assault. Sgt Ronnie Ricks, Jr., allegedly committed the offense in New Boston on a guard training weekend and the victim was a female guard member.
